The Yellow Spragueia (''Spragueia apicalis'') is a moth of the Noctuidae family. It is also found in North America (including Alabama, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Maryland, Mississippi, Missouri, North Carolina, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, Tennessee and Texas), Central America (including El Salvador〔(mothphotographersgroup )〕 and Costa Rica),〔(BOLD Systems )〕 Cuba〔(The Noctuoidea (Lepidoptera) trom Cuba described by Herrich-Schãffer and Gundlach in the Gundlach Collection, Havana )〕 and Peru. The wingspan is about 16 mm for females and 17 mm for males. Adults are sexually dimorphic. The forewings of the males are yellow, shaded with a light orange on the outer third. The hindwings are uniform smoky dark brown. Females are gray-brown.
